Amazon HQ2
Arlington, VA
The Amazon HQ2 22-storey office towers in Arlington, Virginia, were designed by the architectural firm ZGF. Considering the project goal of LEED Platinum certification and the company’s commitment to carbon neutrality, it was natural to include bird friendly glass in the project. The skyscraper required over 50,000 square feet of Walker Glass’ AviProtek® E bird friendly glass, which combines visual markers on surface 1 with an energy-efficient coating on surface 2. Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Wright City fabricated the sealed units, while Harmon was responsible for installation.
